Horsing around Wednesday, May 30, 2007
More than 60 members of the Mokelumne Coast to Crest Trail, a group attempting to provide a scenic corridor linking the San Francisco Bay Area to the Sierra Nevada, spent Saturday, May 24 at Avio and Sutter Ridge wineries. The benefit event for the MCCT and Sutter Amador Hospital included a 4-mile trek through Avio and Sutter Ridge wineries, and
featured not only scenic vistas, wine tasting and a barbecue, but also a
look at some of the ruins on the property that run along the old wagon
road leading out of Jackson from Jackson Gate through the properties.
The Horse Tails and Wine Trails was a first for the Amador area. Visit
the video section on the Web site for a photo journal of the day's
adventure.
